As voters have increasingly asked us for clarity and guidance in their decision processes in elections over the years, the ACLU of Kansas has answered the call to provide this resource in the state through seeding a new PAC, Kansans United for Civil Liberties. We will continue to value and honor the trust placed in us.

ONE
MORE
TOOL

Just as litigation provides a tool for accountability, developing a political arm for the civil liberties movement adds an additional tool to our arsenal for accountability, voter education, and our ultimate mission to defend and expand civil rights and civil liberties.

NO CANDIDATES,
JUST THE ISSUES

We still do not endorse candidates, and the expansion of our political activity and the formation of Kansans United for Civil Liberties does not change that. Rather, we seek to broaden our ability to inform voters on the issues that matter to them and ensure civil rights and civil liberties are not buried in the noise of the campaign season.

ENOUGH IS
ENOUGH

In an increasingly challenging environment of misinformation and extremist views, voters have had enough. They see the need for truthful, reliable, and accurate sources that are in line with the values of civil liberties and civil rights.

The democratic process provides an upstream solution for voters to hold officials accountable for policy choices and campaign priorities that fail to preserve civil rights and civil liberties. By reinforcing the democratic process, we seek to ensure that the power remains where it always should – with the people.
